group formation process

Group dynamics is a system of behaviors and psychological processes occurring within a social group (intragroup dynamics), or between social groups (intergroup dynamics). Team formation takes time, and teams often go through recognizable stages as they change from being collections of strangers to becoming united groups with common goals.
Tuckman’s Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing model describes these stages.
